Purposes of Parent Teacher Association
- To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, community, and place of worship.
- To raise the standards of home life.
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents
and teachers may cooperate intelligently inthe education of children
and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united
efforts as will secure for all children and youth the highest
advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
How can you help your child's school?
The PTA has come up with many new and exciting events for our children and our school for our upcoming 2008-2009 school year. 1) Join the Oliver Hoover Elementary School P.T.A. It is only $6.00 per family per year! This is such a small contribution and it benefits your child in so many ways!2) Participate in the 3-for-free campaign. We are requesting that every Oliver Hoover Elementary School family donate only 3 hours of their time to benefit your child's PTA which benefits your child's school. You will be providing valuable assistance with minimal effort! 3) The PTA holds fundraisers during the year to raise money for your child's school. Please participate in these fundraisers as the funds will help with many items that will help your child's education a success. Click here to find out how the PTA funds are allocated during the year.
